Cut stemmed fruit up, pour over with a litre of water and set aside. Simmer the smoked bacon. If you use dried fruit, wash it carefully and soak one day before. On the following day, boil it in the same water in which it was soaked. Mix the cream with flour, pour into the fruit and bring to boiling. Season to taste with sugar, salt and cinnamon. Serve hot with mashed potatoes.
